"Dear Comfy Cases,
I just wanted to say thank you for what you do..my daughter got a beautiful pillowcase and matching quilt while on treatment from Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. We were able to store it at the hospital so that every visit she had a little colour to brighten her bed. Know that you make a difference."
"Dear Comfy Cases,
I felt strongly about sending this email to express my gratitude for your efforts in making the hospital stays of young children more comfortable. My name is Stephanie and I'm the mother of a 20 month old who was recently admitted to Cortellucci Vaughan hospital. Hospital stays are never comfortable for anyone, let alone a toddler. Our little guy David was having a rough time after already having stayed for a couple days when one of the hospital's Child Life Specialists came in to save the day with one of your pillow cases! David was thrilled to have a new "Chew Chew" (train) pillow case and I can honestly say that having this lovely pillow case made a huge difference.
Thank you for your generosity and please know that your efforts really do make a difference in helping little ones get through some pretty rough days."
"My daughter just got glasses due to complications from cancer treatment. She’s quite upset as only a six year old drama Queen can be. In our holiday gift basket we got a comfy case which just happened to have glasses on it. Suddenly glasses are cool as she chills on her new glasses pillow. She refuses to use any other pillow case and now I have to wash it at night when I can sneak it out from her sleeping head, wash it and replace it before she wakes! Thank you OPACC for delivering the PERFECT comfy case at the perfect time in Our lives!!!"
"We wanted to take a moment to thank the volunteers of this amazing organization as Zach was recently the recipient of one of your pillowcases during his 2 week stay in hospital. Despite him being 14 years old, we want you to know that the “cool” star wars pillow case that he received while at the Grand River Ped’s unit, was the light during a difficult medical recovery. You have instilled a valuable life lesson where Zach now realizes first-hand how one act of kindness can go a long way in brightening someone’s day. You have created a lifelong volunteer in the heart of this kid and we can’t thank you enough for what you all do!"
