About Us

We are a non-profit organization.

Comfy Cases is a Canadian non-profit organization that brings volunteers together to stitch fun, colourful pillowcases for children in hospitals with cancer or other life changing illnesses. As a program of Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer (OPACC), we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and their families.

A moment of comfort colour and cheer with a child and his comfy case.

Bringing moments of comfort, colour & cheer.

We know that hospital stays can be overwhelming for a child. Our pillowcases offer a moment of comfort, colour and cheer during their hospital stay. We believe that every child deserves to smile. By creating and distributing pillowcases, we help children smile under the toughest of circumstances.

Our Pillowcases

Our pillowcases are individually packaged in a plastic bag with an insert card containing information about Comfy Cases. We distribute the pillowcases to Child Life Specialists in hospitals across Ontario.

At the hospital, the pillowcases are selected by children or their parents. Alternatively, a Child Life Specialist may select the pillowcase ahead of admission based on the child’s preference.

The child also gets to take their pillowcase home. And siblings are not forgotten – they can get pillowcases too!
